Paintings have been made for being shownin the architectural space and progessed. The paintings of St. Matthew by Caravaggio for the Contarelli Chapel are typical examples of the relationship between architectural space and painting. In Rome, in the church of San Luigi dei Francesi, The paintings which decorate the the chapel that has been decicated to St. Matthew by French cardinal Matteo Contarelli were commissioned to Caravaggio. Each picture is designed with a relationship to the architectural structure of the chapel in compotion, form and content. The paintings depict three important moments in the life of Saint Matthew. The picture on the left wall shows the call of Matthew to the apostle, and the picture below shows Matthew writing the Bible with the inspiration of the angel, and the picture on the right wall shows the martyrdom of Matthew. The paintings have a functional effect on the architectural structure of the chapel and have a direct impact on the perception of the space by the viewers. One of the main sources is nature that art applies and in which a lot of artists research for its structure and try to do earthly and metaphysical analyzes. Metamorphosis in this context is also the area where art is benefited from nature. Jan Fabre, who was one of the important figures, and who used metamorphosis and influenced art at his time, continues his art process starting with drawings and sculptures with his works bring different disciplines together and theater.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Fabre’s artistic understanding can be read in two main axes and in the context clinging them. These axes built on the past and metamorphosis are accompanied by concepts such as life, death, beauty, nature, reason, feeling, memory, retention, life stress, physical endurance etc.&nbsp; While the artist in his works makes a reference to the traces of the past and the works of the masters, he also uses metamorphosis not only conceptually but on works as well. With the change of aesthetic understanding, the understanding of art has also changed. The end of the 19th century is the period of "Fashion" and "Modern Art".</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">The purpose of this research; Cubism, one of the artistic trends, is trying to explain with examples the effects of the 1900s, from the beginning of the effects of the art flow to the day-to-day fashion.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Research is a qualitative research. Documentary screening method was used as data collection technique. Obtained findings were supported by visuals.
